Pablo Barrera has over 20 years of experience in cybersecurity and technology delivering projects all over the world. He is the founder of ES Consulting, a cybersecurity consulting firm that helps organizations become safer, more agile, and resilient. Currently, he oversees the Cybersecurity Services area in the company and manages the team that delivers hundreds of cybersecurity-related projects per year around the world. He is also a university professor for two well-known universities in his country. Pablo is a member of the ISO/IEC JTC 1/SC 27 information security, cybersecurity, and privacy protection technical committee, a board member of the ISC2 Local Chapter, and president of the local OWASP Chapter. He holds certifications like CISSP, CEH, ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Auditor, ISO/IEC 27035 Lead Incident Manager, ISO/IEC 27032 Cybersecurity Manager, and many other international certifications, also an authorized trainer for PECB and Mile2 certifications. He was selected as a Professional Fellow by the U.S. Department of State in 2015. In 2014, he was selected as a TEDxChange Fellow by the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. He has published a CVE and collaborated on several cybersecurity research projects.
