Cristiana Deca

Co-founder and CEO at Decalex A graduate of the Faculty of Law of the University of Bucharest, with a master's degree in European Law, and in Design Thinking at M.I.T., Cristiana founded, over 10 years ago, together with two other partners, the first Romanian company specialized in data protection and cybersecurity compliance services, Decalex. Particularly passionate about the area intersecting fundamental human rights with technological evolution, she holds multiple international certifications in legislation regarding the protection of personal data. She is the founder of the Association of Data Protection Professionals in Romania (ASCPD), and from 2019-2022 represented Romania in the European Confederation of Associations of Data Protection Professionals (CEDPO). Two years ago, she was appointed as a member of the board and the Compliance and Ethics Council of the EIT Health organization.
